F-Minus' self-titled debut album harks back to the old school of early '80s California hardcore, as brief songs rocket past in a blur of speed. While the group does have a distinctly '90s sensibility, its raw production gives the music a bite that often gets ironed out of many '90s punk releases. Some songs don't quite hit the mark, but they're surrounded by enough good ones that it isn't quite as noticeable.
