This double-disc release from the reunited Stiff Little Fingers features two separate albums packaged together: Hope Street, a studio album consisting of new material, and All the Best: Live in the U.K., an in-concert rehash of the best items from the band's back catalog. Much of Hope Street is essentially singer Jake Burns' take on the Northern Ireland peace process, and while the songs don't really match the best material of the band's glory days, he does sound reinvigorated by addressing a topic close to his heart. The live album does remind the listener of how potent Stiff Little Fingers were at their best, but it really isn't a necessary listen for most, making it somewhat annoying that it was tacked on to double the cost of the package as a whole... by Steve Huey, All Music GuideTracks:
