NEW BOMB TURKS
(1995) Destroy Oh! Boy!!
Covers: No
Label: Crypt Records
Format: mp3 (128kbps)
Ripped: JAP
Size: 35,14 MB (.zip)
Country: USA

Is it just coincidence that everyone gives this album five? The answer - NO.That's because it's one of the best albums of the 90s - if not the best. In fact, it's just as much a punk classic as the first albums by the Ramones or the Cramps or New York Dolls. Thank god there's still bands like the Turks who beleive in the devine powers of rock 'n' roll, and that punk is a great way to bring those powers out. A vital rock 'n' roll document for one and all who want to save rock 'n' roll from the clutches of MTV and popular radio. Best songs: "Born Toulouse-Letoric", "Runnin' On Go", "Mr. Suit", "I'm Weak", and "Crying In the Beer of a Drunk Man". Than again, not a single song is bad.

NICE!
This one is the shit!
Every track just rocks unbelievably hard. I listened to this record for months after getting it. I finally got around to seeing NBTs a few years later and they had mellowed considerably. They were on a giant label tour with the Lunachicks, Hagfish (who I thought were really uninspired) and Rev. Horton Heat. Nearly every band that played dissed NBTs on stage, for some reason.
Thanks for sharing this - now I can listen to it on my iPod!
You have a great blog!
